01What is Lumo?
A plugin for your coding agent: Claude Code, Codex or Cursor. Once it's installed, your agent edits your footage, like a talking head or a podcast clip, in a named style, and makes launch films for your product, with motion graphics, music and sound. Every film is made on your computer.
02How do I get started?
Start the free trial, then copy the install prompt from your dashboard into your agent. It installs Lumo, connects your computer to your account (you approve it once here) and makes a 10-second test film. From then on, just ask for videos in your chat.
03What do I need?
A Mac with Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, and about 2.5 GB of free space for Lumo's editor. Lumo works through your own agent, so there are no credits to buy from us.
04Do I need to know how to edit video?
No. Ask in plain words, like "Edit ~/Desktop/clip.mp4 into a punchy 9:16 short". Lumo plans the cut, the graphics and the sound, and opens the finished film for you. Ask for changes in the same chat.
05Which formats can I make?
Vertical 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, square 1:1 for feeds, and wide 16:9 for YouTube, your site or a launch post.
06How does pricing work?
Try Lumo free for 3 days. You add a card when you start, and nothing is charged until the trial ends. After that it's $20 a month, or $150 a year, for unlimited films with no credits. Cancel any time before the trial ends and you pay nothing.
07Does it use my agent's usage?
Yes. Your own agent directs each film, so making films counts toward your Claude (or other agent) plan, like any task you give it.
08Where do my videos go, and who owns them?
They stay on your computer. Lumo makes every film there and saves it in your Lumo folder; your footage is never uploaded to us. Your footage and the films made from it are yours. See the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for the details.
