Terms of Service
Last updated: October 13, 2026
These terms apply when you use Lumo, including the website, the workspace and Studio, the Claude connector and any video Lumo makes for you (together, the “service”). “Lumo”, “we” and “us” mean the people who run the service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use Lumo.
1. Your account
- Give us accurate details and keep your login private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us at supportbylumo@gmail.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
- One person per account. Don’t share, sell or transfer accounts.
2. Plans, credits and payments
- Lumo runs on credits. Each action, such as planning, editing or rendering a video, costs the number of credits shown in the app before you start it.
- The Free plan includes no credits. Credits come only from paid plans, credit packs and the one-time $1 first video edit.
- Paid plans renew automatically every month or year until you cancel. Each renewal adds that plan’s credits. Plan credits expire at the end of the billing period, except on Pro, where unused credits roll over for one extra month.
- Top-up credits are a one-time purchase and do not expire while your account is open.
- If a render fails or is canceled, the credits held for it are returned to your balance.
- Credits have no cash value. They can’t be exchanged for money or transferred to another account, and unused credits end when the account is closed.
- Payments are processed by Polar, which acts as the merchant of record and handles your payment details, invoices and sales tax. Polar’s own terms also apply to your purchase. Prices may include or add tax depending on where you live.
- You can cancel at any time in Settings → Billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and no further renewal is charged.
- We may change prices. A new price never applies to a period you already paid for, and we will tell you before it applies to your next renewal.
3. Refunds
Payments are final. See our Refund Policy for the details and for the rights the law gives you regardless.
4. Your content
- You keep ownership of everything you upload or write in Lumo, such as footage, audio, images, brand material and prompts (“your content”), and of the videos Lumo makes from it.
- You give us a limited permission to store, copy, process and change your content only as needed to run the service for you. This includes sending it to the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy. The permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law or that remain in backups for a short time.
- We don’t use your content to advertise Lumo or show it to other users without your permission.
- You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload, including permission from the people who appear or are heard in your footage, and licenses for any music, logos or third-party material.
5. AI-generated results
Lumo uses AI models to plan, write and edit videos. Results can be inaccurate, unexpected or similar to results made for other people. Review every video before you publish it. You are responsible for how you use what Lumo makes, including making sure it doesn’t mislead people or infringe anyone’s rights.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t use Lumo to:
- make content that is illegal, sexual content involving minors, harassing, hateful or violent, or that infringes someone’s rights;
- make deceptive content about real people, such as fake statements or impersonations, or use someone’s face or voice without their consent;
- spread malware or spam, or break the law where you or your audience are;
- break, overload, probe or get around the security, credit limits or usage limits of the service;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, or scrape it with automated tools other than the official Claude connector.
We may remove content or limit accounts that break these rules.
7. Connected services
You can sign in with Google, attach files from Dropbox and connect Claude to your Lumo projects. When you connect a service, you allow it to exchange the data needed for that feature, and that service’s own terms apply to it. You can remove Lumo from Claude’s connector settings at any time, or ask us to revoke its access.
8. Changes to the service
Lumo is in active development. Features may change, be added or be removed, and some are marked as previews. We aim to keep the service available but don’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own copies of important files.
9. Suspension and closing your account
You can stop using Lumo at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other users at risk, or where the law requires it. Where it’s reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to download your videos.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost business. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or rights you have as a consumer.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Lumo after that, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, you can cancel and stop using the service.
